Pineapple Pork

Pineapple Pork

Ingredients

1/4 kg pork kasim (Monterey Pork Kasim), cut into 1/2 inch thin strips

1 tsp iodized fine salt

1 tsp pepper

1/4 cup cornstarch

1/4 cup all-purpose flour (Magnolia All-Purpose Flour)

3/4 cup oil (Magnolia Nutri-Oil)

 

Pineapple Sauce:

1 (45 g) pc onion, sliced

3 cloves garlic, crushed

45 g pineapple chunks

1 (25 g) pack Wandah! All Around Sweet Tomato Catsup Mix, mixed with 1/2 cup water until smooth

2 tbsp vinegar

1 tbsp soy sauce

3 tbsp brown sugar

1/4 cup water

 

Procedure

1. Prepare sauce by sautéing onion, garlic and pineapple in oil over medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Add catsup mix, vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, and water. Cook until sauce thickens. Set aside.

2. Season pork with salt and pepper. Dredge in cornstarch and flour then fry until golden browned. Add sauce. Cook for another 2 minutes.

CHEF’S TIP: 

You can stir-fry the vegetables and pork instead of separately frying your meat.
